Application and Admission to New Students

Admission is granted to new students on merit basis and as per vacancy. When the number of accommodation in a class is reached the admission is closed. No new students will be admitted in Grade 10 and 12 except those who seek admission in these classes from a school that runs under the system of Myanmar Union Adventist Education Department and only if the head of the school is satisfied with the performance of the student in Grade 9 or 11.

Required Documents for New Application

New application forms must be accompanied by the following documents:

  1. Mark list of the last grade attended.
  2. Transfer Certificate from the school attended.
  3. Health Certificate from a competent medical practitioner.
  4. Three Passport size photographs
  5. Character recommendation by the Principal/Administrator of the last school attended.
  6. Birth Certificate is essential for the students seeking admission for KG and Grade 1.

After careful consideration of the application, the student is informed about the admission by the admission committee. Consideration for admission to the school will take into account the abilities and preparation of the applicant that would indicate the probability of success in studies, whose character such as to be able to fit into the programs of the school, and who shows diligence in becoming an asset to the school and its program. The students of high moral standard will be granted admission. The applicant should be physically sound and in good health. It should be noted that a student cannot be admitted without a Transfer Certificate and the Mark List from the previous school attended.

Re-Registration Form

Students already studying in the school are to fill in the re-registration form and get registered. There after late fee of 1,000 MMK per day will be charged. Upon late submission or re-registration, forms will be entertained or accepted upon the proven payment receipt of fine or late fee.

Placement Test or Entrance Exam

For every new student (Grade 1 & Grade 12), YAS required to seat for placement test or entrance examination especially English and Mathematics in order to determine the Grade he/she will attend. Only upon successful and satisfactory results, the Admission Committee will grant to attend the Grade. Students are requested to contact individual class teacher(s) for information about subject testing. All new students must contact the school Registrar for the date, time and venue for such placement test. In order to be eligible to attend the Grade, the student must earn a minimum of 40% points or marks to proceed with the registration.
